Financial Accounting Manager required for large, well known and highly respected organisation based in the North West. This is a permanent Home Based opportunity with a fantastic business. 

Reporting to the Head of Finance the Financial Accounting Manager will lead and develop a high-performing Financial Accounts Team, ensuring the month-end Treasury Management Reports are produced accurately and on-time, and that the supporting narrative and analysis identifies the key challenges and opportunities for the business in a way that is easily understood by a non-finance audience.

The Financial Accountant will support the delivery of the Group’s month-end financial reporting, lead on the year-end process, and will ensure all statutory, regulatory and funding returns are submitted accurately and on time.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in a financial accounting environment
  • Demonstrable technical accounting experience, specifically cash management and treasury experience, including cash-flow forecasting, and balance sheet control account maintenance
  • Preparation of statutory and management accounts  and supporting detail, including FRS102 requirements
  • Exposure to internal and external audit, including year-end external audits. 
  • Evidence of working to tight deadlines
  • Evidence of leading, managing and motivating a small team
  • Proven experience of working with and effectively influencing Executive Teams and other senior level management
  • Extensive experience of management of report development and resolution and monitoring of data quality issues

  • High level of numeracy
  • Highly IT Literate, evidenced by a high level of proficiency in all MS Office Software
  • Analysis and judgement – able to use own judgement involving highly complex facts requiring interpretation and comparison of a range of options 
  • Communication - can work with a wide range of stakeholders including, staff across the organisation from different disciplines, Senior Management and Executive Directors, Internal and External Audit
  • Negotiation – can demonstrate ability to negotiate and use sophisticated persuasion skills
  • Planning and organising – able to formulate plans involving uncertainty
  • Relationships – Ability to understand, learn and use relationships to build networks to achieve goals
  • Innovation – Provides new and innovative solutions for doing things
