Commercial Finance Manager

Commercial Finance Manager, Technology PE Backed SME, up to £80,000 plus benefits

Newly created, commercial finance role for a division of a fast-growing technology group. You will be the right-hand person to the COO, and the key bridge between the OpCo’s financial control team, group finance and the PE firm. As it’s a new role there will be scope for you to create your own job description, but some general responsibilities will include:

• Directing and working with Business Directors on project budgets, forecasts and other commercial trackers
• KPI analysis, and the development of dashboard to provide insightful management information
• Responsible for monthly revenue forecasts and regular internal client performance reviews  
• Review and develop new business budgets and support project tenders across the business.
• Manage WIP balances on projects, and develop and maintain staff utilisation / billability modelling
• Provide Group and investors with periodic presentations on business performance
• Responsible for maintaining client relationships from a finance and contracting perspective (including weekly client update calls)

The projects you will be partnering on are incredibly complex and hard to manage. It will require a person with:

• ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
• First rate excel and data manipulation skills
• Ability to create clear and insightful presentations
• Excellent communication skills to enable him/her to engage with senior stakeholders and non-finance personnel, to understand the financial impact of information received
• Sense of responsibility towards the organisation’s reputation
• Ability to work independently and to meet strict deadlines
• The ability to prioritise and multitask
