Financial Accountant | London | £65,000 - £70,000, 4 – 6 Months FTC | Media

Partner Financial are engaged with a listed multinational media business. With an impressive array of brands within their portfolio, they have an outstanding reputation within the market. Their combination of organic growth and commercially viable acquisitions will ensure that their high standards and targets are achieved. You will be responsible for the delivery of the financial reporting requirements, including the preparation of statutory accounts under FRS102 and 101.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Compiling and consolidating the annual statutory accounts in accordance with IFRS and UK GAAP;
• Providing suggestions and feedback to management regarding budget forecasts and tax strategy;
• Supporting the Financial Controller with taxation and treasury issues;
• Liaising with Finance Business Partners and the offshore operational team to provide accurate financial information;
• Reviewing and processing monthly and quarterly intercompany recharges;
• Managing the preparation and review of the balance sheet;
• Liaising with the auditors and co-ordinating tasks to ensure a successful external audit;
• Providing technical accounting guidance on a range of issues;
• Ad hoc projects, including assisting with the implementation of new systems.

Profile:

• Qualified accountant (ACA) from a practice background;
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK accounting standards;
• Working understanding of accounting under IAS38 intangible assets;
• An inquisitive mind-set where you continuously seek process improvement;
• A natural ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
