Your new firm
A well established and growing independent firm of accountants based in Bolton are looking to appoint an Portfolio Manager to join their team. This role has arisen due to continued new business wins and is a great opportunity for an ACA / ACCA / QBE practice accountant to join the team in an autonomous role. The firm will consider full time applicants and those looking to work four days or reduced hours.

Your new role
As a portfolio manager you will be allocated your own portfolio of clients for which will predominantly consist of OMB / SME clients under the audit threshold for which you will be responsible for the supervision and delivery of both compliance and outsourcing services. You will be responsible for managing your own deadlines, liaising with clients on a regular basis providing advice and training to your portfolio. You will utilise a variety of cloud based accounting tools and work with your clients to ensure they maximise the benefit of these programmes.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm are seeking an experienced practice accountant who has worked within a general practice and is comfortable liaising with clients. You will ideally be ACA / ACCA qualified however QBE applications will also be considered. This is an autonomous role where you will take responsibility for managing your own deadlines so strong communication and organisation skills are essential. Exposure to various cloud based accounting packages is also key.
