Your new role
This is a new position that has been created due to internal promotion. In this position you will manage and mentor three direct reports, reviewing and planing their work, also deputising for the head. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing the weekly management information to Head of Revenue Accounting
  • Preparing and posting GL journals relating to Revenue
  • Calculating amounts monthly, processing subsequent payments and address any queries raised
  • Calculating internal commission transfers monthly and processing subsequent payments
  • Producing reconciliations for relevant Balance Sheet accounts and providing updates to senior stakeholders
  • Authorising BACS and Insurer payments
  • Supporting operational payment allocation process when required
  • Monitor completion of weekly and monthly accounting controls for all processes within Revenue
  • Explaining financial processes to colleagues without a background in finance
  • Working with wider business on process improvements


What you'll need to succeed
The ideally candidate will have the following attributes

  • Part Qualified / Newly Qualified Accountant with ACCA/CIMA
  • 2 3 years' experience in a transactional finance environment
  • Strong understanding of double entry / transactional accounting
  • Excellent understanding of Balance Sheet reconciliations & ability to investigate/resolve differences
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, can manage expectations both upwards and downwards
  • Advanced Excel skills (data manipulation)
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation & time management skills
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, changing environment and flexible to changing priorities
  • Ability to work well under pressure, working accurately with attention to detail, meeting deadlines and a team player.
  • Positive "Can Do" attitude, with the willingness to learn
