Axon Moore are currently working with a successful and well-established organisation based in Skelmersdale, who due to recent growth are looking to bring in an experienced standalone Payroll Officer.
You will be responsible for completing a monthly payroll for roughly 500 employees. This will be a hybrid position involving responsibilities across payroll, HR and accounts payable.
The ideal candidate will be seeking a hands-on position, and open to taking on lots of exciting project work outside of the payroll department.

Person Specification:
- Must have previous experience of working within Payroll with excellent knowledge of end to end Payroll processing
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise a busy and varied workload
- Relevant accounting software and excel knowledge
- Any experience setting up new payroll schemes or system implementations would be beneficial
- Understanding the complexities of recent regulations and employment laws
- Highly organised with a capacity to complete ad hoc work as requested
