A unique opportunity has arisen for a driven group financial planning professional to assume a Head of Group FP&A role in an AIM-listed technology business. Reporting into a dynamic Group CFO, this is a newly-created role giving the successful candidate the opportunity to build out a new function that will support the on-going growth of the organisation. They have seen rapid expansion in the past 3-4 years (both organic and through acquisition) and have reached a stage where a dedicated FP&A resource is needed to facilitate future expansion.
Candidates will likely have begun their career in audit (Big 4 practice preferred but not essential) and will have spent their post-qualified years developing best in practice FP&A processes in a corporate environment. Any exposure to acquisition work will be looked upon favourably (as would experience of integrating acquired businesses) but specific corporate finance experience is not a pre-requisite. Knowledge of the technology space is deemed a “nice to have” but having built and managed a high-performing FP&A team is a must.
In essence, candidates will be given a blank sheet of paper and, with the support of the CFO, be tasked with designing an FP&A function for the future. The organisation has continued to thrive during the past 12 months, meaning this is an incredibly exciting time to join.
On offer is a base salary of between £90k and £110k, depending on experience and a competitive benefits package. Their post-COVID policy around flexible working is yet to be fully defined but is most likely to involve a fairly even split between office and home-based.
