Interim Statutory Accountant

Baker Charles are partnering with a global multimedia agency to recruit a Statutory Accountant on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role will hold full responsibility for the preparation of statutory accounts across the Group and support senior leadership in maintaining robust financial frameworks where necessary.

The ideal will candidate will be ACA/ACCA Qualified (or similar) with at least 2 years industry experience in a similar role with a large multinational organization.

The Role

• Preparation of circa 15 sets of UK statutory financial statements for multiple entities.
• Preparation of parent company financial statements for the group.
• Preparation of trial balance to statutory account reconciliations, including identifying and supporting statutory adjustments where required.
• Preparation of analysis to support the recoverability of intercompany assets.
• Full ownership for the relationship with auditors and key point of contact with the audit team and head office regarding any audit queries.

Additional Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or similar) with at least 2 years post qualified experience.
• Experience of statutory accounts preparation and IFRS with UK market accounting standards.
• Full knowledge of UK statutory reporting and tax requirements.
• Able to self-manage and prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of Power BI would be advantageous.
