FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (LEAD FINANCE POSITION) - SME TECH MANUFACTURING & DISTRIBUTION

THE COMPANY

This high growth Tech product SME manufacturing and distribution company, based Dorset, South West UK, is seeking an ambitious Financial Controller to lead the finance function and support the development of the company.

THE POSITION

This is the lead finance role in the company reporting to the board. It is a broad finance position from hands on management and financial reporting through to business planning, commercial finance and business partnering activity.

You will be very involved across the business and responsibilities include:

• Day to day management and financial reporting
• Budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, business planning, financial modelling, and analysis
• Financial and business partner support to operations and non-financial management
• Liaison with external advisers including auditors, tax advisors and banks
• Develop finance systems, processes and KPIs
• Tax, VAT, Regulatory and compliance

THE CANDIDATE

For this role, you will be a qualified accountant (eg ACA, CA, ACCA, CIMA), technically strong with a commercial outlook and several years post qualified experience in a senior finance role. You will need good IT/Systems experience and aptitude and financial modelling (excel). An interest in technology and the tech sector is preferred.

Experience of manufacturing / distribution will also be advantageous and ability to business partner non finance staff and management. Experience of due diligence, growth companies and working with investors would also be advantageous.
