PQ Finance Manager, Marketing Agency, up to £35k

Our client, a growing SME Tech Market Research Agency, is seeking a Part-Qualified accountant to take on a sole finance role at this fast-growing agency. We are looking for a self-assured and entrepreneurial self-starter who will confidently be responsible for the day-to-day financial management, as well as the production of financial information, ensuring its integrity and accuracy at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting directly into the CFO and COO of the agency
• Weekly credit control processes.
• Timely client billing according to the schedules and research team requests.
• Responsible for accurate, weekly Cashflow preparation.
• Treasury management, including all UK bank accounts.
• Submit bi-monthly AR/AP ledger list to CFO for review with comments on aged balances.
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations (including Accruals, Prepayments, Fixed Assets and Bank Reconciliations) in line with internal month end deadlines.
• Assist in the monthly variance analysis of the management accounts.
• Responsible for the preparation of the monthly journals
• Assist in the preparation of monthly reforecasts.
• Monthly revenue reporting reconciliations and revenue recognition meeting with research team.
• Assisting in organising annual audit process for external auditors

The person:

• Must be part qualified (ACCA/CIMA) ideally experience in Tech or Media and Marketing
• Experience with month-end reporting, financial reconciliations
• Great communication & excellent interpersonal skills
• Advanced Excel Skills (knowledge of if statements, lookups, pivot tables)
• Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
• A strong sense of commercial awareness
