Divisional Head of Finance

Marks Sattin are delighted to be working in exclusive partnership with a Market Leading Group within their field, to help appoint a Head of Finance for a major Division.

Responsible to the Divisional Finance Director, the role will support financial management across the division working with the Senior Management Team, Managing Directors and their teams with the objective of improving the commercial and financial performance of each site. Key duties will include:

• Responsible to the Finance Director to support financial management across a number of key business units, with the overriding aim of helping senior management to improve performance.
• Contribute to the development of Group policies, procedures, processes and initiatives.
• Undertake projects for the Group which may cover a diverse range of topics which commercial and operational settings.
• Review and provide input for the preparation of financial and activity based information across the division and regions - e. Budgets, forecasts, management accounts and benchmarking.
• Lead the coordination involved in annual budget setting and reforecasting as and when required by the Group
• Assist Group Finance teams as and when required (e. sales ledger, management accounts)
• Support the Finance Director to prepare business plans and undertake commercial evaluation of new opportunities and development plans for existing contracts in conjunction with operations.
• In conjunction with the wider Finance function ensure the integrity, probity and reasonableness of local financial controls and financial data, in order to minimise financial risk via the correct implementation of local procedures.

As the successful candidate you will be CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified with the ability to demonstrate intellectual capability to operate at a high level. Experience of multi-site businesses would be advantageous.
