This will tick a lot of boxes for a part qualified Assistant Management Accountant / Management Accountant looking for a new challenge in South Yorkshire.

  • Owner managed group that has experienced double digit growth for the past 4 years without exception.
  • Superb culture and impressive track record of staff retention, engagement and promotions.
  • Supportive and approachable Finance Director and FC - both able to offer mentoring and coaching.
  • Major scope for development as the business continues to experience organic growth.

  • Involvement in projects such as new system implementation, business mergers, development of MI and KPI packs, enhanced commercial reporting, improved controls and processes. Lots to get your teeth into!

You will need to have a decent foundation of core accounting skills (accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, month end processes, great Excel skills).  You will also have ideally completed a relevant degree or AAT and be looking to become CIMA or ACCA qualified.

The business is in a growth phase and forecasts are exciting. The role is a result of expansion and you will have plenty of headroom to progress your career and develop your accounting experience alongside your qualification.

CIMA / ACCA will be fully funded and you’ll have plenty of encouragement to develop.

You’ll enjoy working in a fast paced SME where you will be able to gain a real insight into the P&L and work closely with colleagues in operational and commercial functions.

It would be a superb step for someone looking to join a professional group where there is chance to make a real difference.

It’s a really welcoming and modern culture and an impressive place to work.  The highly experienced FD is looking for someone who will enjoy being involved in projects alongside their routine accounting tasks.

You’ll gain exposure to full management accounts pack preparation, forecasting, budgeting, MI production, sales and margin analysis, profitability reporting, year end accounting / stats etc.

You will need:

  • A hands on approach and a solid foundation of practical accounting skills including experience of management accounts prep.
  • Excellent analytical skills and good knowledge of Excel functions.
  • A ‘can do’ enthusiastic and proactive approach to problem solving.
  • A keenness to learn and develop.
  • The drive and appetite to complete CIMA or ACCA.
  • A calm and measured approach to deadlines and excellent organisation skills.
