Finance Manager

My exclusive client is an entrepreneur owned, fast growing and profitable niche E-commerce SME based in modern offices in Skipton at the southern tip of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

As part of the company's ongoing exciting growth strategy, the company is making positive strides to beef up its Management Team, including the appointment of a technically able qualified Finance Manager currently working in either Practice or Industry.

Reporting directly to the FD, key responsibilities will include:

• Support the FD to develop a strong, cohesive Finance team to deliver timely and efficient Core Finance activities. 
• Preparation of comprehensive and robust monthly management accounts and financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reports.
• Co-ordinate the year end statutory accounts, including direct liaison with the Auditors.
• Support the FD in the preparation of the Annual Budget and regular forecasts, including proactive review of company performance & KPI's.
• Maintain and develop the company's accounting systems, including keeping up to date on financial standards and changing new legislations.
• Overall, to play an important role as part of the HO Management Team to ensure the efficient and sustainable profitable development of the business at this key stage of its exciting expansion strategy over the next few years.                                                                       

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will be a technically strong qualified accountant - applications are welcome from candidates working in either Practice or Industry/Commerce, with strong financial and statutory accounting experience.

You will need to have a confident personality and strong communication skills with the natural ability to liaise effectively at all levels across the business.

You will also need to demonstrate strong attention to detail and be someone who takes pride in delivering "right first time", accurate and robust financial reporting.
