Finance Manager

Elevation Accountancy & Finance have a rare & exciting opportunity working for an innovative and well-established business based in Rotherham, as they look to recruit a Finance Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will manage a small team and will be expected to be engaged in the running of the finance support service on a day to day basis.

The Finance Manager will undertake a variety of duties including but not limited to:

* Responsible for the smooth day to day running of the the A/R & A/P team, including target setting and the identification of training and development needs
* Act as the main point of contact for escalation of queries
* Work closely with the Credit Management team
* Maintain highly accurate and up to date accounts and financial records
* Manage and develop internal financial monitoring
* Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts to SMT and budget holders
* Monitor staff allocations and other expenditure on grant projects
* Manage and mitigate financial risks
* Lead the Finance Team, carrying out all line management responsibilities
* Monitor corporate financial performance and key risks on an ongoing basis
* Oversee the production of Monthly Financial and management accounts and other reports as needed
* Perform accounting journal entries and control account reconciliations to ensure the financial software system is in balance

Person specification:

* Outstanding communication skills with ability to liaise with individuals across all areas of a business
* Strong understanding of all processes relating to Purchase and Sales ledger with a keen desire to improve processes and efficiencies
* Previous experience working within a similar sized organisation with high level of responsibility
* Team management to motivate and enable
* Experience of Sage Line 50
* Strong Excel and reporting skills
