Interim Management Accountant | Worksop | £40,000 - £45,000

The Opportunity

Innovative, modern group with a significant subsidiary based near Worksop have a requirement for a confident and experienced management accountant to join them on an interim basis (6 month initial project) as a result of a maternity cover.

The role has plenty of variety and surrounds supporting the head of finance in the production and presentation of detailed, accurate and insightful weekly reporting & monthly packs.

You will also contribute to a smooth month end process and be comfortable with the nuts and bolts (balance sheet reconciliation, fixed assets, accruals / prepayments, cashflow forecasting, management accounts preparation, etc).

The business is experiencing significant demand and forecasts impressive growth. Your role is initially a 6 month contract however there is certainly potential scope for extension if that was something you would consider downstream.

You will work with a collaborative and supportive team and have coaching from a highly approachable Head of Finance where required. The role is home based initially however it would suit someone within commutable distance of Worksop as the role may involve site working later in the year.

You will be:

  • Able to demonstrate a track record of success as management accountant / financial accountant with exposure to all aspects of month end - ideally within a reasonably complex business.
  • Someone who enjoys working to deadlines and is passionate about producing credible, accurate and timely information for the business.
  • CIMA or ACCA qualified / part qualified
  • Able to use Excel to an intermediate / advanced level.
  • Someone who is comfortable speaking to a wide range of colleagues across various areas of the business.
  • Able to commit to a 6 month contract starting in March / early April 2021.
