The company are now looking to hire a Group Finance Assistant, who report directly to the Group Finance Manager, to work as part of a small team.

***This role would be ideally suited to someone who is currently studying AAT, and looking to step up and gain more experience in a varied finance role, that will offer in depth exposure to all aspects of the accounts processing***

THE JOB:

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, this role will be responsible for:

  • Raising sales ledger invoices, processing payments and associated credit control and filing
  • Coding invoices with nominal code and cost centre and posting invoices on to the purchase ledger, ensuring invoices are appropriately authorised and filed correctly
  • Posting & allocating bank receipts & payments
  • Providing purchase ledger back up for payment runs
  • Monthly supplier statement reconciliations and investigating any differences
  • Processing employee expenses and credit card expenses
  • Answering customer and supplier telephone and email queries
  • Assisting with maintenance of stock levels
  • Assisting with annual audit queries and tax pack analysis
  • Assisting with ad-hoc financial and business projects

THE PERSON:

The successful candidate will:

  • Be currently studying towards AAT - Essential
  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience within a similar accounts role - Essential
  • Have experience working on Sage systems - Desirable
  • Have an intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel - Essential
