Reporting to the CFO, the Finance Manager will strengthen the finance team and will be expected to take full responsibility for day to day finance operations, including the oversight of month end, the production of consolidated management accounts and associated Board reporting.
Finance Manager - Some of the Key Responsibilities include:
- Delivery of the month end close process.
- Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts and associated board reporting, including supplementary analysis and KPI reporting.
- Variance analysis and business line profit reporting.
- Maintain reconciliation schedule for all balance sheet accounts.
- Development and management of rolling weekly cashflow forecast.
- Preparation of VAT returns and co-ordination of submission with external accountants.
- Support in managing audit process and preparation of statutory accounts.
- Production of cost centre reporting and information to key internal stakeholders.
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register.
- Taking on a key role in the implementation of a new group-wide finance system.
- Supporting the CFO in the preparation of the annual budget and business plan, and quarterly forecasts.
The candidate:
- Fully qualified finance professional (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong all round accounts knowledge
- Comfortable with producing consolidated management accounts; and translating into insightful reporting and analysis, in a timely fashion.
- Experience of managing general ledger processing and ensuring the integrity of the numbers.
- Ability to improve processes and controls, drive automation, and increase efficiency.
- Good working knowledge of VAT and able to quickly understand different VAT arrangements on a project-by-project basis.
- Forecasting, Budgeting, Cash Flow modelling.
- Previous experience of going through a finance system implementation would be very beneficial
- Strong Excel skills – confident using formulae (lookups, index, match) and pivot tables to manage data and work efficiently.
- MS Office (esp. PowerPoint for reporting)
- Outstanding communication skills both written and oral
- Task oriented and proactive personality
- Able to build robust, sustainable working relationships
