Finance Manager

A growing business in the Chester area is recruiting for a qualified accountant to join the business in a newly created role of Finance Manager

This business is specifically looking for qualified accountant who has a strong background and working knowledge of the Insurance Sector.

This newly created role would suit a newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), who is looking for a step up and is confident taking ownership of the day to day finance function; management accounts, managing the P&L.
Alternatively the business would also be open to someone who is highly knowledgeable within the Insurance Sector but only looking for Part-time hours.

This is a standalone role with no reports, staff management duties. However you will be expected to control all the accounts for your division.

As Finance Manager your role will involve:

• Production of month end management accounts, budgeting, forecasting
• Full P&L Management
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Bank reconciliation / cash management
• Statutory accounting / reporting / year end
• VAT returns
• Ad-hoc projects, process improvements

• Be a fully qualified accountant
• Have experience of working in a senior finance role within the Insurance Sector
• Be confident to hit the ground running and controlling the full P&L for your division
• Have excellent IT & Excel skills
