Project Accountant job North Kent £48k-£50k. Must be Qualified and experience in managing projects
Your new company
You will be working within a Public Sector organisation within the North Kent area. The Project Accountant job will be involved special projects with you looking after their trading accounts. You will initially be working remotely with a view to work on a Hybrid working environment going forward. You will also be required on occasion to attend an evening meeting (approx once every quarter). The organisation work 8:45 till 5, 37 hours a week.
Your new role
You will be responsible for an effective and efficient customer-focused accountancy support for the delivery of special projects, including commercial and financial innovation activity. You will be responsible for delivering timely financial advice to key stakeholders, with a focus on the key financial processes of budgeting, monitoring, preparation of information for final accounts and financial planning, including both revenue and capital accounting requirements. financial policies and procedures for the company and monitor compliance. You will develop arrangements for managing the accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash management functions, including the necessary financial control measures, reconciliation and variance analysis activity. You will prepare monthly management accounts, reporting packs and cash flow statements, providing commentary on performance, variance to budget and risk management.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have experience in and demonstrate project accounting and managing projects. You will need experience in management accounting and budget monitoring. You will need to be ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA qualified. You will need great communication skills as well as the ability to interpret, apply and explain technical policies procedures, guidance and legislation.
