Senior Finance Business Partner
Rate: £60,000 - £65,000
Location: Manchester
Duration: 12 months FTC
Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a commercially astute Finance Business Partner for a very successful business in Manchester.
This is a 12 months fixed term contract and whilst the role is based in Manchester you will have the flexibility to work from home.
We are looking for an experienced business partner to inspire change and end-to-end thinking across the business. If you have the level of engagement skills and accounting knowledge needed, this position will offer you a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact and change the way the business make decisions.
You will be expected to support the business in implementing ways of working and embedding a new tool to encourage end-to-end thinking. You will partner with colleagues across commercial, retail, and logistics, redefining current thought processes and embedding a more strategic approach to managing costs and increasing profitability. General duties include but not limited to:-
- manage the data refresh of their cost to serve tool; working closely with a third-party supplier and colleagues across the business to make sure we drive the most value from it
- implement new ways of working across the business to embed cost to serve and profit metrics into day-to-day business decision-making
- act as a consultant to the business working with a wide range of teams across commercial, retail, and logistics; looking for opportunities to drive efficiencies and improve processes
- work with the business to encourage a more strategic way of thinking when it comes to saving on costs
- finance lead for cost to serve tool development; working closely with the data science team to support future in-house build
- use data to provide insight and tell a story and shape important business decisions
The successful applicant will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified coming from a similar role and being able to demonstrate your operational and commercial finance ability to really drive commercial benefit and add value to the financials. Experience of driving and delivering change and new ways of working within the supply chain, retail, FMCG, multisite, logistics or distribution sectors is essential.
You will have strong business partnering, stakeholder management and communication skills and in particular the ability to direct senior level individuals. Proven success in influencing strategic business decisions and driving significant improvements to business performance is essential.
Focussed on delivering specific objectives, being proactive, dynamic and self-motivated with a desire to find and deliver improvements. In addition you will have the ability to work independently and together with other personnel both finance and non-finance.
You will have a creative and innovative approach to problem solving and analysis; delivery orientated - able to work in pressurised environments, meet multiple deadlines and manage own priorities.
You will also be able to demonstrate business acumen and ability to gain knowledge across the breadth of a variety of functions. You will also be able to take a 'big picture' view with demonstrable internal consultancy and influencing skills, while possessing a keen eye for the detail.
