SF Recruitment are working with a global logistics business who are looking for a Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis.
In this role you will need strong business acumen as you will be partnering the Managing Director for a particular geographical area, along with the operational regional managers and their operatives. Confidence and strong communication skills are an absolute must for this role as you will be facing off to senior colleagues and will need to be able to hold your own, having confidence in the numbers and the business cases that are being presented. You will be required to provide financial support on these business cases in order to evaluate new projects or investments and alternative scenarios.
There will be no month end duties in the role; however, a financial background is essential as you will need to really get behind the numbers and help bring these to life, giving a full understanding to your operational stakeholders. Using this information to challenge your colleagues and to hold them accountable whilst not being overly assertive is an important aspect of this role. Your influencing skills will really come to the fore in this position.
KPI reporting will play a part in this role so you will need to be comfortable in holding your colleagues to account, ensuring that targets are met within the different parts of the operations.
Excellent Excel skills are a must for this role, as is the ability to deal with large amounts of data. A problem solving and inquisitive mindset are both a necessity for success, as is the ability to prioritise your workload and to be proactive in your approach in finding solutions to problems. You will be a true business partner and a real self starter.
You will have ideally worked in a large business where you've become used to the size, scope and scale of the business and the varying stakeholders who you will be partnering. The ability to operate in challenging, fast paced, ever changing and demanding situations are an absolute must.
