Hamilton Woods has partnered with a fantastic firm of Accountants & Advisors with offices across the South West region. This firm is enjoying a period of sustainable growth and has a long-established client base. An opportunity has been identified for an ambitious Tax advisor to join the team, working with the firm's substantial portfolio of Private Client Tax customers.

Your new role

Working with the Partners and senior colleagues servicing a portfolio of HNW Clients and Trusts, you will help to develop the Advisory & Compliance services in the region. Amongst other duties you will:

• Assist with the preparation of personal tax returns
• Deal with HMRC correspondence in relation to tax returns and other matters
• Manage the tax planning and affairs of a portfolio of clients, ensuring all relevant deadlines are adhered to
• Do your own research into relevant tax matters for discussion with the firms Leadership
• Work on ad-hoc complex tax matters in various specialist areas
• Assist junior team members
• Assist with identification and of new business opportunities both with the existing client base and externally

Your background

• You will be AAT qualified as a minimum, and ideally be studying towards your CTA qualification.
• You must have pervious experience in a client facing role in a professional services firm, and a minimum of 3 years working in personal tax.
• Knowledge of Trusts and Capital taxes is required.
• As this is a client facing role, you must have excellent communication skills.
