Accountant - Professional Services - £35,000 - Cardiff

Your new role
Your new role is a crucial hire for the business and will take a senior role within the finance team.

This unique role has 2 aspects. Firstly, providing in-house accounting support for the business and secondly, providing client accounting support for a portfolio of customers.

Client accounting duties to include but not limited to ;-

• Service charges - Use of PropMan software to include setting up clients/tenancies/tenants, entering budgets. preparation & reconciliation of year-end service charge accounts, sending out mailings
• VAT reporting & submission of returns
• Monthly / Quarterly / Annual reporting (depending on client)
• Preparing reports for Property Manager
• Preparing annual statutory accounts/corporation tax for a small number of clients

The in-house duties are to include but not limited to ;-

• Assist with Monthly Management Accounts / Cashflow forecasts
• Payroll preparation
• HR duties including preparation of contract documentation, calculating holiday entitlements
• Involvement with GDPR/ISO
• Ad-Hoc duties

What you'll need to succeed

• Ideally a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with hands on accounts preparation experience within an SME.
• Strong attention to detail, a right first-time mentality
• Good team player with the ability to work independently too
• Someone willing to chip in and "get their hands dirty" this person will be doing everything from data entry to higher level technical accounting
