Hamilton Woods Executive Search are looking to appoint a technical expert as Group Financial Controller to spearhead the financial reporting function for this reputable multi-faceted Internationally owned business

ROLE:

As Group Financial Controller, you will be a robust professional who will manage and coordinate the core controls processes across the finance function, enhancing and building reporting capabilities and be at the fore-front of securing the future progression of the business and current team.

DUTIES:

  • Ownership and oversight of all internal and external financial reporting, including but not limited to:
  • Monthly management accounts, quarterly reforecasting, annual budgets and long term strategic projections.
  • Audited annual consolidated accounts and quarterly reporting to debt holders (a new requirement).
  • Oversight of the annual external audit process.
  • Preparation of financial reporting to the Executive Team, Board and shareholders and other stakeholders.
  • Provision of accurate financial information relating to the Group and its subsidiaries on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, both internally to the Group Executive Team and Board and externally to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance across the Group with external financial reporting requirements, including IFRS, UK Companies Act and compliance with requirements of external financing
  • Ensuring a robust and consistent Group wide internal control regime exists and is adhered to.
  • Manage a team of professional accountants (3 Direct Reports, 12 in Total) and support the CFO
  • Supporting strategic projects including M&A activity, major transactions (Debt and Equity) and other value adding projects.

CANDIDATE:

  • A Russell university graduate
  • A Qualified ACA/ACCA Big 4 / Top 10 practice trained professional with significant technical expertise - essential
  • Demonstrable experience of leading a diverse reporting function within an International business, including leading a team and developing it
  • Previous experience of working within a complex group with significant currency exposure - essential
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral, and excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage with business colleagues, at all levels, in a proactive manner to develop effective solutions to issues.
  • Critical and analytical thinking in all aspects of work with inter-personal skills and ability to work as part of a team.

PACKAGE:

  • Basic Salary - £85,000 - £100,000 per annum
  • Car / Car Allowance
  • Bonus (20 - 40%) Personal and Business performance related plus Excellent benefits
