Our retained client is an award-winning North West property developer which has experienced phenomenal growth over the past decade. Privately owned the organisation has an excellent track record of growth supported by strong profit levels.

The organisation is managed by an experienced Board who have a clear and progressive strategy which will include a constant focus on seizing new opportunities and continuously diversifying into new sectors. Due to the high aspirations for the future and the complexities this will bring, there is a need to appoint a commercially and strategically orientated Chief Financial Officer to spearhead the strategic objectives and establish themselves as a key member of the Board.

Operating as the CEO’s right hand, the incoming CFO will lead on all areas financial related within the business including the raising of finance for new developments, long term strategic planning and ensuring the finance function provides both operational and commercial departments with high quality KPI’s to aid in business decision making.

Additionally, the successful candidate will:

  • Take full responsibility for ensuring the group has the adequate and appropriate project funding in place for new and existing developments, instilling robust controls and processes to support continued growth.
  • Manage all external relationships including institutional funders, auditors, banks and other professional services.
  • Integrate fully into the Group, learning the complexities and developing strong working relationships with internal stakeholders including operating as a trusted business partner to the Managing Directors of each division providing them with financial and commercial support.

The successful candidate will be of exceptional calibre with a proven track record of driving growth within a property development business with an in depth understanding of appraisals and institutional funding schemes. You must also demonstrate tangible evidence of maximising business value, influencing strategic direction, developing high quality finance functions and the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels within a business.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation which has already experienced phenomenal growth in a role which will be critical in shaping the strategic direction and adding value over the longer term. You will become an integral part of an ambitious Board which operates and instills an excellent working culture across the Group and would suit an individual who has the hunger and desire to progress.
