Elevation Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a well-established and highly reputable business in Doncaster, as they look to recruit a Senior Bookkeeper to join their team.
Duties of the Bookkeeper will include:
* Leading the preparation, calculation and processing of the monthly payroll and reporting
* General bookkeeping and reconciliations
* Completion of the monthly management accounts
* Budgeting and forecasting
* Managing VAT returns
* Cash flow analysis
* Management of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
* Responsibility of company expenses
* Credit control - chasing outstanding debt via email and telephone
* Ad-hoc reporting as and when required by senior management
* Reviewing costs and overheads
* Building and maintaining strong working relationships internal/external
* Daily use of Microsoft Excel
* Ensuring the smooth, day to day running of the finance department
To be successfully considered for the role, you will have:
* Outstanding communication skills
* Previous experience working within a similar role with high level of responsibility
* Solid payroll knowledge and experience, including PAYE, pensions (auto-enrolment) and statutory requirements
* Experience of general accounting, including credit control
* Flexible, adaptable individual that always looks for new ways of working and enjoys being part of a growing, ever-changing environment
* Strong Excel and reporting skills
* Minimum AAT Qualified or Equivalent
