Integris have been appointed as sole supplier to source a highly-ambitious, career driven ACA qualified with c.5-7 years post qualified experience who has a strong drive to fast-track to a CFO role in 5 years time.
Our client is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial, UK tech business with a turnover of c. £40m, focusing on the development and provision of hardware and software in the security and healthcare sectors. The headquarters is situated in Hertfordshire, but they have international operations in North America, South America and Australia. The business is winning contracts internationally and revenues have nearly tripled in the last two years.
The company has exciting growth plans, acquisition targets and a planned listing on the London Stock Exchange in 2021. In order to prepare for the IPO the group is expanding its finance team. A highly experienced CFO has been brought in to lead the IPO process and is now looking for a Group Financial Controller to work closely with him.
In the first instance this is a technical, group reporting role and requires an individual who is very proficient with technical financial accounting, including experience of external reporting in a PLC head office, group consolidated accounts, IFRS, processes and controls. The initial focus will be on helping the CFO to complete the listing and ensuring that the half yearly/yearly PLC accounts are produced going forward.
You will be working on a day-to-day basis with a highly-experienced CFO with a track-record of success. In his last role he was responsible for restructuring the business, increasing profit margins and cash generation, executing 5 acquisitions and more than quadrupling the share price. The CFO has been brought in to drive this process and is looking for a "right-hand person" to assist him, so this really will be a fantastic opportunity to learn from an experienced mentor and fast-track your career towards CFO. As a small, but fast-growth business there is only a small finance team of 4 people in place, so this role requires someone with the credibility to work with senior management, but also be hands-on and get involved in the detail. The business went though its first audit in 2018 and prepared audited consolidated accounts for the first time in 2019.
In short, we are looking for a financially-minded, ACA-qualified Group Accountant / Group Finance Manager who is looking to take the next step up in their career and build on their technical group financial skills. You will not only be working for a hugely successful and fast growing company with an entrepreneurial senior management team, you will also gain excellent career experience including exposure to UK listings and acquisitions, with the ultimate goal of fast-track progression to CFO.
