Assistant Financial Accountant (Treasury)

One of the region’s most impressive businesses have an opportunity for an AAT qualified accountant to join them on a fixed term contract through 2021. You will work within the Treasury function of the large and collaborative central finance team (covering a secondment between April 2021 and Dec 2021 – initially a 9 month fixed term contract).
The business is expanding and investing significantly in future growth and development. There is definite scope for you to join the business on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Treasury Analyst, this role supports the delivery of an effective treasury management and reporting service across the Group. The ideal candidate will be able to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment, have a strong work ethic and great interpersonal skills.
The remit will cover a range of tasks and will include supporting the preparation of short and medium term cashflow forecasts and completion of daily & monthly treasury accounting processes including month end accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
You will ideally:
- Have completed AAT (or equivalent) and have developed sound core accounting skills.
- Have excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Have ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
- Be confident in your Excel skills
- Use of e banking platforms such as Barclays.net &Treasury software, such as City Financials would be an advantage.
- You will need experience of working in a busy Finance Department with tight deadlines and previous Treasury experience would be an advantage.
