Senior Management Accountant / Financial Controller | London (Fully Remote Working – anywhere UK) | £35,000 - £50,000

The Opportunity

Exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and rapidly expanding digital media group experiencing major success.

It is the perfect time to join.  The group are circa £4m turnover and have doubled headcount in the last 3 years.

You will be the first FC and enjoy shaping all financial controls, processes and reporting to best suit the needs of this aspirational and ambitious SME.

You will work closely with the founders / senior management team and have chance to really make a difference as the pivotal Management Accountant / FC. 

The business currently outsource everything to an external accountant and you will enjoy bringing everything in house – having a real chance to put your stamp on the processes, controls and management information packs. 

The first step is getting on top of the weekly and monthly bookkeeping tasks and as the business grows you will then develop the commercial reporting, KPIs and MI pack.  You will work with the leaders to ensure budgeting and forecasting is introduced and that year end is managed effectively.

The business has delivered some exceptional new client wins and you will be joining them at an exciting phase of their journey.  There is scope for the role to develop and progress but there business are also keen to offer a sensible degree of work life balance.  They have a modern head office in central London however the role can be fully remote working (you can be based anywhere in the UK).

You will need:

• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to managing the month end accounting / financial reporting for a growing, modern and relatively young business (>£5m turnover).
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy but confidence to communicate with a wide audience of stakeholders including the business owners.
• Excellent Excel skills and knowledge of Xero ideally.
• Confidence in your ability to manage all aspects of the day to day accounting for a smaller business and ability to produce detailed management accounts for the owners / investors.
