Group FP&A Accountant

This dynamic group of companies has enjoyed steady growth and is now on target to reach £50m t/o following substantial investment in IT and infrastructure. Operating in a niche sector their environment is complex and data rich which puts considerable pressure on the finance department to deliver accurate and meaningful MI to stakeholders and external funders. As a result of this a new role has been created for an FP&A Accountant to be responsible for forecasting, strategic planning and financial analysis. This high profile position will provide the Directors and private equity investors with financial tools to support decision making and will take the lead on developing the processes, models and planning activities to deliver the business plan.

The ideal candidate for this role must have excellent Excel skills to a high level, SQL and / or Power BI software experience would also be very attractive as you will be working with large amounts of data and using it to drive insight and profitability. The key duties for this Financial Planning and Analysis position will be:

• Scenario planning and designing financial models
• Trend analysis and KPI modelling
• Leading the group annual budgeting process
• Quarterly reforecasting
• Supporting M&A Activity and funding projects
• Ad hoc data analysis

Ideally the successful candidate will have a strong academic background, preferably ACCA/CIMA or ACA qualified. Prior experience of forecasting and financial analysis would be highly advantageous but they will also consider someone from a Management / Commercial Accountant background with strong IT skills who has the right drive and attitude.
