A superb Finance Director role has arisen in a fascinating high growth dental practice based near Harrow.

Our client is an exciting multi-site dental group which is embarking on an acquisitive growth strategy an will look to double in turnover over the next five years. The business is well established and one of the top private dental brands within the UK. With current turnover of £25million, this is a hugely exciting time for the group.

Accordingly, we are now looking for positive people with integrity, intelligence and a strong work ethic to join and help to deliver this extraordinary vision.

Description

The Finance Director will be a member of the senior leadership team and be responsible for:

  • Forecast financial results on an annual, quarterly and monthly basis.
  • Take ownership for setting Budgets/Reforecasts which reflect underlying trading conditions and take account of covenant performance under our financing agreement.
  • Ability to reconcile Operational Control accounts to ensure income is being accounted for correctly.
  • Develop a solid understanding of the dental industry and apply this knowledge to your day to day role.
  • Lead and effectively manage the Finance team.
  • Manage our banking relationship (this includes providing trading updates, facilitating drawdowns for new acquisitions, overseeing refinance discussions).
  • Evaluate new investment opportunities and present the Senior Leadership team with a clear understanding of the impact new acquisitions will have on forecast leverage.
  • We're an acquisitive group so an ability to undertake internal Financial Due Diligence on proposed acquisitions would be helpful.
  • Ensuring all internal audits and accounting activities are in compliance with financial regulations
  • Ability to identify and implement cost saving measures

    • Profile

    Applicants must be highly driven, entreprenurial and dynamic and also be:

    • A fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
    • Demonstrable experience in a similar role such as Head of Finance, Finance Director, of Financial Controller
    • Managed external relationships with Banks and auditors
    • Broad finance skill set in both, management accounts, financial accountants and strategy/commercial
    • Ability to lead, mentor and motivate a team
    • Gravitas to build credible working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
    • Multi-site or multi-site acquisitions experience would be an advantage
    • Private equity or owner managed business experience would be an advantage

    You will be a goal orientated, self motivated, forward thinking finance professional who is ambitious and resourceful with a can-do attitude. You will also be a strong leader and communicator.
