Partner Financial are working with a private equity backed services business based in Central London. The brand has a strong track record of growth and a notable footprint operating in over 90 countries, their strategy positions the brand at the forefront of its market and main competitors. The business is looking for a Group Finance Manager who can support them through this journey as they continue to grow through acquisition. The Group is embarking on a major upgrade of all financial systems and you will be involved in the design, build and test stages of this ERP project.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will promote and ensure compliance with group policy and IFRS accounting standards across the organisation, managing the cash forecasting capabilities while taking ownership of all technical accounting matters. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing best in class technical accounting advice, on areas of complexity and new business activities;
  • Facilitating internal discussions on key areas of financial judgements, propose recommended accounting treatment and support the Finance Director and CFO;
  • Partnering with the business to assess the impact from changes in accounting standards;
  • Researching technical accounting issues and providing accounting support on complex business transactions & M&A;
  • Developing a robust process to ensure documenting areas of significant judgement in an appropriate way whilst ensuring they are continually monitored;
  • Maintain and update accounting policies to ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP;
  • Driving the implementation of the new Group ERP system through the design, build and test stages of the project;
  • Developing technical accounting knowledge across all Finance teams;
  • Assist on other group finance projects as required.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CA) from a Top-tier Practice;
  • Experience working with complex consolidations within a multi-national organisation;
  • Able to deliver with exceptional levels of accuracy, placing a high regard on achieving excellence;
  • Forward thinking, organised and inquisitive, with experience supporting and delivering group project work to senior stakeholders;
  • Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and driven to succeed;
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel, and the ability to learn new IT systems and processes;
  • Strong communication skills.
