Finance and Operations Manager - Real Estate. OUR CLIENT is an established and successful real estate owner and investor who own a multi-billion portfolio of assets. The company specialise in the commercial real estate sector, owning amongst others an impressive array of London assets. They are currently looking to recruit a Finance and Operations Manager to join their highly experienced and able finance team.

THE ROLE will report directly to the Financial Controller, and will be responsible for leading the accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger function, as well as assuming the following responsibilities:

  • Managing a small experienced and loyal team, ensuring their work is of a high standard and they respond to any internal or external queries promptly.
  • Making improvements to processes which lead to efficiencies in production, reduce the risk of errors and increase accuracy.
  • Setting up and maintaining account codes within the general ledger accounting system.
  • Assisting in the preparation and production of CIS returns.
  • Reviewing the weekly BACS payments.
  • Preparing and posting journals, as well as reviewing journals posted by Accounts Assistants.
  • Reviewing bank reconciliations and timely posting of reconciling items.
  • Managing and controlling employee expenses, ensuring they are line with the corporate expenses policy.
  • Assisting with audit queries.

THE PERSON - To apply, you MUST possess strong previous management experience in a similar role and should have experience of working in a similar industry/ regulated business. You must have experience of owning, managing as well as developing different systems and processes. You will have excellent organisation, communication and time management skills, and should possess an excellent working knowledge of Excel. Furthermore, any understanding of VAT, CIS and double entry bookkeeping will give you an advantage in being shortlisted for this role.
