11834 - SEMI-SENIOR/SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Location: Leicester

Summary
A medium sized firm of Chartered Accountants based in Leicester are seeking an all-round skilled Semi-Senior/Senior Accountant to join its friendly and supportive team on a full-time permanent basis.

Supporting clients ranging from sole traders and partnerships to limited companies, our client is seeking an experienced Semi-Senior/Senior Accountant … someone with broad systems experience (Sage, Xero & Quickbooks being the most common).


The Role
The successful candidate will need to possess all-round accounting skills to carry out the following:

* Preparing Accounts and associated paperwork for unincorporated businesses (Sole Traders and Partnerships) and small to medium limited companies
*Assisting with preparing Business Tax Computations, Partnership Returns, Personal Tax Computations and Personal Tax Returns.
*Preparing P11D returns.
*Checking the quality of work produced, making sure it meets a high standard and suggest ways of improving the quality and consistency
*Knowledge of Iris, Sage Accounts and Xero would be beneficial.
*High level of attention to detail
*Skilled at dealing with people
*Organised and deadline driven


The Right Person
*Part or fully qualified AAT, part or fully-qualified ACCA, or qualified by experience,
*A background gained in a firm of Chartered or Certified Accountants is essential
*Possess your own transport for occasional client visits,
* Possess 3-5 years experience
*Essential: demonstrable all-round accounts experience,
*Be proficient with Xero, Sage Desktop (Line 50), Sage Cloud, and/or QuickBooks,
*Excellent planning, organisation, time keeping and communication skills,
*Always Maintaining client confidentiality,
*Strong attention to detail, numerate and analytical,
*Strong IT skills incl. MS Excel & Word skills to an advanced standard,
*Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.


Package
*Appointment Type: Permanent
*Salary: £22,000 - £30,000 (subject to experience)
*Hours: Full-Time, 35hrs per week
*Holiday 20 Days + Bank Holidays (+3-4 Days at Christmas)
*Auto-enrolment Pension
*Opportunity for Study Support (subject to completion of probationary period)
