Fund Accountant - Private Equity & Real Estate. Our Client are a highly-regarded and well-known alternative investments company that focuses on Fund Accounting for Real Estate and Private Equity clients and they are now looking to add a Fund Accountant to their team. The successful candidate will support the Senior Fund Accountants to deliver all aspects of accounting for a portfolio of Private Equity clients.

THE ROLE: Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Preparing statutory accounts under FRS accounting standards.
  • Undertaking bookkeeping services to a range of entities (companies, funds and trusts) up to trial balance.
  • Preparing management accounts and maintenance of accounting files for client entities including Profit & Loss, balance sheet and variance reports.
  • Preparing financial statements for a portfolio of clients.
  • Complying with relevant procedures and producing comprehensive evidence to support transactions.
  • Completing payment processing duties.
  • Actively complying with relevant procedures and policies.
  • Liaising professionally with clients (internal and external) and third parties (by email, telephone and face to face).
  • Responsible for training junior Fund Accountants and reviewing their work.

THE PERSON: To apply, you MUST have 1/2+ years of experience in real estate or Private Equity funds/Accounting practice environment and ideally be studying towards your ACCA/CIMA qualification. You will have a strong academic background including minimum grades of ABB at A Level and 2:1 degree. The successful candidate will be a bright, switched-on candidate looking to further your career. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of funds and accounting processes and can prepare accounts up to Trial Balance level.
