Accounts Administrator - Permanent Role - Hereford - £18,000-£20,000 Per Annum

Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading manufacturing & distribution business to recruit for a Entry Level Accounts Administrator/Credit Controller for their site based in Hereford, Herefordshire. A permanent and hands-on Accounts position supporting a small team reporting directly into the Operations Manager. Due to the nature of the business and the service they provide they are experiencing rapid growth; this is a great opportunity for the right candidate to really add value and develop in the future if wanted.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve a range of credit control/accounts administration processes including chasing outstanding debt via telephone, email and other appropriate methods, sales ledger processing, maintenance and reconciliation of the debtor's ledger and investigating/managing any supplier queries that liaise within the department. You will be involved in dispatch & order processing, generation/ distribution of daily invoices, credit notes and monthly statements along with general administration to support the wider business and finance function. Duties will be tailored around the right candidate and business needs.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this hands-on Accounts Administrator/Credit Control position you will need to have experience within a similar role, with previous Credit Control and Customer Service skills. You will need to have strong communication skills to build relationships with suppliers and external parties at all levels along with and key experience with MS Excel. You will be organised and pro-active with the ability to manage workloads and meet pressurised deadlines. It would be advantageous if you have worked within a Manufacturing/Distribution business previously with knowledge of Sage line 50 accounting software.
