Business Services & Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate Manager

A highly regarded firm of chartered accountants based in Taunton is looking for a Business Services and/or, Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate Manager to join their team as a key addition and hire. Whilst the role will focus on the delivery of Personal tax compliance, planning, Trusts and Probate work, there will also be potential for wider involvement in accounts/VAT and other areas for those seeking a varied role.

Based in Taunton this leading and highly successful firm of chartered accountants has an excellent reputation and has been undergoing continued positive growth. Through planning around retirements occurring early next year with an expert in Trust and Probate side, combined with increasing personal tax work for HNWIs, with complex compliance and planning requirements across IHT and other areas, the firm needs to bolster the team within a role offering a clear personal tax/trust and probate service delivery focus, whilst with the potential for involvement in wider general practice service areas, dependent on the background of the right professional.

Description

Joining the team as Business Services and/or, Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate Manager based from the firms Taunton offices you will deliver on complex personal tax compliance and tax planning work for wide ranging individuals, across HNWIs, directors of the firms corporate clients, property related, rural and further wide spectrum of clients. Alongside this the firm acts for a number of trusts and delivers probate services with the potential for increasing involvement in these fields in addition. Dependent on the background of the right professional the portfolio and role can be focused entirely within tax, or moulded to offer an element of all around service delivery across accounts etc, in addition to the tax work. You will carve a key position within this successful firm, working closely with partners with the associated development and progression potential on offer within the firm and role.

Profile

You will be an any of ATT/CTA/STEP tax qualified or hold ACA/ACCA qualifications and will have a career background within accountancy practice at around the Manager levels.

The role can be moulded to offer either a 100% personal tax/trust and probate service delivery focus for entirely personal tax career background focused professionals. Or it can offer at least 70% personal tax/trust and probate work, with the potential for a 30% involvement on wider accounts, VAT work and other service provision, should the right candidate bring a more mixed general practice background across all areas of accounts and tax, with a strong background in personal tax and want to maintain an all around involvement. They can look to help develop and train the right person, should the relevant candidate not bring existing probate experience, so probate experience is not a necessity.

Job Offer
