Your new firm
A reputable firm of Chartered Accountants based in Manchester who have been established for over forty years are looking to appoint a Senior Accountant / Portfolio Manager to join their team on a permanent basis to manage a portfolio of clients, ideally with Mandarin / Cantonese language skills. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to take ownership of a client list and become an integral member of the corporate services team.

Your new role
As a portfolio manager you will take ownership of a portfolio of between 80 - 100 clients which include small local businesses, a large proportion of which are Mandarin or Cantonese speaking. For this portfolio you will be responsible for delivering year end statutory accounts and business tax compliance and overseeing bookkeeping services provided by junior members of the team. Your portfolio management responsibilities will include managing your deadlines, delegating and reviewing work, answering any client queries and billing.

What you'll need to succeed
As a large proportion of your client base's first language may be Cantonese or Mandarin either language skill would be highly preferable. More generally the firm are seeking an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant (QBE applications will be considered) who has the ability to work within an autonomous client facing role. The firm offer hybrid working however you will spend part of your week office based so you must live locally to Manchester.
