Senior Financial Accountant

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting a Senior Financial Accountant for a highly respected business based in Bradford.

Working closely with an engaging Head of Finance, you will have the opportunity to manage and develop a team, along with supporting the business in the delivery of its objectives with robust data, insight, and strategic information.

Key Responsibilities will include:

-Maintenance of general ledgers
-Shared ownership with Financial Controller of balance sheet inputs
-Report financial accounting information as requested
-Manage the month-end process and timescales
-GL / balance sheet reconciliations - review, sign off and follow up on a monthly basis and investigate and resolve any discrepancies
-Review VAT returns/Intrastat/NSO returns
-Provision of monthly, quarterly and annual statutory information to the parent company
-Provide tax packs to the parent company
-Cash flow management and forecasting
-Management of fixed assets, verification and control
-Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts under IFRS and the external audit
-Comply with internal and external financial policies, standards and controls, whilst understanding the impact of own role on other areas
-Work with the business to drive, improve and enhance controls, documentation and the control framework
