Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be partnering with a dynamic & thriving business based in Bradford to recruit an interim Financial Accountant on a 8-month Fixed Term Contract. - this opportunity is home based however must be within commutable distance from the office to work in house when necessary.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team in a varied role and will be supporting the wider finance community by delivering high quality input to the ERP implementation process and providing support with small project requests that would ordinarily be delivered with the help of Team members supporting ERP implementation.
Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
* Supporting project teams in data cleansing, reconciliations and implementation of the new ERP system
* Support in smaller project work including replacement and automation of balance sheet reconciliations as and when necessary
* Ability to run jet reports and understand complex data from multiple ledgers (G/L, AP, AR, Subcontract, Intercompany, Cash, etc)
* Preparation of reports needed for month end completion
* Train new ERP system users
* Provide efficient support and month end cover for the Team members delegated to the new ERP project work
* Backfill for balance sheet reconciliations preparation
* Backfill for posting of certain month end journals
* Backfill for posting of IR35 journals as required
* Statutory Reporting & Technical Accounting
* Providing assistance to external auditors during UK Interim audit
* VAT returns preparation and monthly review of VAT transactions
* Preparation of data for ONS returns as and when required
* PSA return - data preparation
* Ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required by the business
* Provide key support to the business unit finance teams to drive insightful analysis, and actively look to reduce the number of ad-hoc requests
The successful candidate will be:
* Qualified accountant(ACA/CIMA/ACCA)- Finalists will be considered depending on experience
* Prior experience of new ERP systems implementation
* Advanced Excel knowledge is required in this role
* Advanced systems knowledge - Microsoft Nav, Microsoft Dynamics/Dynamics Business Central 365 and Jet reports - essential, Onestream and Cognos desirable
* Experience of working within a large multisite, matrix organisation
