Now, they are looking to appoint Finance Officer: Purchase Ledger to join their fun and hardworking Finance Team.

The Role

As a Finance Officer, you will manage the purchase ledger for this charity, processing invoices, petty cash claims and staff expenses, as well as making purchase ledger payment runs.              

Undertaking a wide range of finance and accounting activities, you will process discretionary grants for payment, schedule regular monthly payments and resolve invoicing queries and enquiries.

Specifically, you will:

- Complete the monthly supplier checks

- Handle expense claims including company credit cards and mileage

- Administer non purchase ledger payments and help with general accounting

- Help to manage and reconcile accruals and prepayments creating journals

About You

To join our client’s team as a Finance Officer, you will need:

- Experience of working in a purchase ledger role

- Experience of working with accounting systems

- Experience of working in a finance department

- Knowledge of finance systems and financial and bookkeeping procedures

- Knowledge of financial regulations

- Excellent administration and organisation skills

- Excellent IT skills

- Analytical and numerical skills

- Able to manage confidential data

- Educated to A-Level standard with at least five GCSEs including Maths & English

A professional qualification such as AAT Bookkeeping, ICB Bookkeeping or similar, or willingness to work towards one, would be beneficial to your application, as would a thorough knowledge of GDPR.

This is a part-time role working 30 hours per week Monday to Friday.
