The Revenue Analyst will be primarily responsible for ensuring that all revenue and project control requirements are satisfied whilst providing support throughout the SOx audit cycle. The Revenue Analyst will regularly interact with the business and wider commercial finance teams in resolving contract and revenue matters. A key facet of the role will involve improving upon existing procedures and assisting with business critical Change Management programmes.

 

Revenue Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Working with the business to approve new project requests

  • Leading revenue recognition efforts in accordance with SOx controls

  • Performing monthly revenue accounting

  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations

  • Undertaking necessary SOx testing and liaising with external auditors when required

  • Providing support to both business and FP&A teams when setting up client related projects and resolving revenue related queries

  • Working with wider finance teams across Finance System Change projects

  • Continually reviewing existing processes, mitigating risks and making efficiency improvements

Working Relationships:

  • Working closely with wider finance teams

  • Operations and Project Managers

  • Business Support Teams


Candidate Requirements:

  • Finalist or qualified finance professional ACCA or CIMA

  • Demonstrable understanding of revenue recognition

  • Experience of working in a dynamic and fast paced environment

  • Previous audit experience advantageous

  • Organised and analytical - able to prioritise tasks and identify key issues

  • Focussed and commercial - able to work to tight deadlines and capable of building sustainable relationships within the business

  • Emotionally intelligent

  • Able to evidence process improvement throughout career to date

  • Strong Excel skills and an appetite for utilising Finance Systems
