Interim Financial Controller

A leading business based near York seeks an experienced Financial Controller for an initial 8 month contract to cover a maternity leave.

The main focus for the role is to provide sound financial and commercial advice to the division from winning new work, delivery and through to contract close.

Other tasks involve:

*Working with the relevant project teams to ensure margins and costs are managed effectively.

*Effectively close out all contracts ensuring all monies are collected and liabilities met.

*Ensure valuations are raised in a timely manner, payment schedules are met and cash is received as planned. Liaise with Credit control, Contract Managers and Project Managers/Controllers as required to minimise risk to overdue debt.

*Issue Daily Reporting to the division and Senior Finance Team clarifying the latest Cash Forecast position and actions taken to ensure timely cash collection.

*Ensure sub-contractor agreements are in place to mitigate risks and a positive cash flow position is maintained.

*Support the preparation of the annual budget

*Support in the preparation of the monthly forecasts, trading position, Balance Sheet and cash flows as required.

This is a varied role that will suit a fully qualified Accountant with a strong financial control and project background.
