Circa £55K per annum, depending on experience

Opportunity to join a Toronto Stock Exchange listed gold mining exploration company based in Mayfair, London. Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller role requires a bright, energetic person to co-ordinate the accounting of the group. Ability to thrive in a small and entrepreneurial working environment is very important.

The Role

• Bookkeeping for the group companies including Accounts Payable
• Prepare and refine the monthly management reporting pack for the Group
• Prepare quarterly consolidation and quarterly reporting to Exchange
• Co-ordination of statutory audits and auditor reviews as necessary
• Daily cashflow reporting and projections
• Cash management including payments
• Organise indirect and direct tax returns in multiple jurisdictions
• Provide financial and analytical support to the CFO
• Assist in documentation and improvement of corporate accounting policies and procedures.
• Manage external accounting providers
• Ad hoc project work reporting to the CFO / COO
• Provide financial and analytical support to the CFO
• Office-based
   

Candidate Specification

Skills and Qualifications:

• Graduate with strong numerical and analytical skills
• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Experience within the mining industry (especially Canada) is preferred
• Strong IT skills, particularly modelling in Excel.
• Experience of Xero would be advantageous
• You will be a consultant
• Must have the right to work in the UK without restrictions
