After having grown significantly and developed more and more partners in recent years, this incredible international development organisation is looking for a Governance, Risk & Assurance Advisor to join them on an initial 8 month basis. It's an exciting time to join this organisation, who focus on delivering sustainable solutions to development challenges, and this role will be a pivotal part of the team.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Deep diving into the finance systems and key processes, including data testing and assessing potential risks
  • Assessing the results of your findings to provide assurance and make recommendations on issues identified
  • Documenting and implementing new VAT processes and controls
  • Assessing controls between Salesforce and the finance system
  • Reviewing the non-programme related payment process, implementing improvements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A full accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in relevant roles
  • Proven experience of designing and implementing end-to-end processes
  • Extensive experience of designing and implementing control frameworks, covering governance, business and financial risks
  • Knowledge of charity accounting and taxation requirements
