Our client is a dynamic, multi-faceted Retail and Distribution business. They have a requirement for a newly created role, Head Of Finance sitting within one of their most prominent divisions. This role will be a key member of the UK Finance team, reporting into the UK Finance Director. Working in tandem with the Head of Commercial & Operational Finance, you will be tasked with establishing best-in-class financial controls, reporting and processes. This will also include overseeing the development of new systems from the outset.

Key accountabilities include:

*Ownership of the site financials
*To coordinate and challenge the Business Planning for the business
*In partnership with the Head of Commercial & Operational Finance - Retail Ready, develop high quality internal reporting with the relevant insights and KPIs
*Play a lead role in the future system implementation, from initial scoping and design through to implementation
*Management of the relevant transactional resource, assist with an expected transition into a shared service centre environment
*Establish and continually develop a strong financial controls framework
*Control of operating costs and identifying operational efficiencies
*Delivering smooth processes; setting realistic timetables to meet reporting obligations
*Cash flow forecasting and cash management
*Coach and develop junior members of the Finance team
*Work closely with a range of functions across the Group to successfully manage the business and deliver change (including IT, Business Efficiency & Operations)


The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with several years' PQE with a background demonstrating strong financial control and reporting, along with deep experience of successful ERP/system scoping, design and implementation, together with core financial process improvements. You will need to have the ability to build effective relationships both remotely and in person, and be able to influence a range of stakeholders. Delivering and improving month end close processes and the production of financial plans is essential.
