Based: Tameside area

Salary: circa £50k dependent on experience.

Our client is a European leading distribution business based in the Tameside area. With continuous growth over the last 3 years, a record 2020 in terms of sales/profit and possible acquisitions planned for the future, this is an exciting time to join the business. This role will sit as a number 2 in finance, reporting directly to the Finance Director looking after a team of 4 staff. An excellent opportunity for a qualified Accountant who is keen to take the next step in their career

Role:

• Managing and developing a team of 4 in finance
• Consolidation of group accounts across 4 different businesses including overseas
• Financial close and reporting for Directors/FD
• Monthly management accounts production across group business (TO £30m)
• Overseeing general duties including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Producing reporting packs and insightful analysis
• Cashflow forecasting, budgeting and reporting
• VAT returns quarterly
• Assisting with new system implementation
• Continuous improvements across finance/business to reduce cost and improve efficiencies
• Improvement on financial reporting and all financial information - assisting with changes
• POC for Audit and all queries
• Yearend statutory accounts across all group businesses
• Dealing with other departments and stakeholders - POC for the finance team

Experience:

• ACCA/CIMA qualified with ideally 2-3 years PQE
• Strong management accounts experience, consolidation experience would be beneficial
• Staff management experience ideal but not essential
• Adaptable and hands on, able to adapt to change in a growing business
