The Role
As an Assistant Accountant, you will provide support with the implementation, improvement and maintenance of all financial controls.
Working with the UK Finance Manager and HR, you will develop and implement the expenses policy, overseeing employee expenses claims and dealing with queries.
In this varied role, you will also:
- Raise invoices, prepare monthly sales ledger control, and chase payments
- Prepare and oversee inter-company and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support the Finance Manager with the audit
- Assist with cash flow forecasting
- Answer purchase/sales ledger queries
- Reconcile supplier statements and payments
- Support month end accounting activities
- Assist with tax and audit requirements
About You
To be considered as an Assistant Finance Manager, you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar finance and/or accountancy role
- A professional accountancy qualification/ Full or part qualified (AAT/ CIMA or ACCA)
- Experience in SAP R/3
- Excellent IT skills
