Based in London, MRK Associates are exclusively working with a fast-growing recycling technology company who are looking to recruit a Qualified Financial Controller to join the team on a permanent basis.

This job would suit someone who has excellent analytical and numeracy abilities with experience of managing others.

You will be responsible for the full range of reporting, analysis, and forecasting functions and will report directly into the CFO.

Our client is embarking on a fast-growing journey with exciting technology in the waste management sector which will enable us to recycle more plastic with exceptional world-wide growth plans.

The successful individual will be an ACA qualified accountant from a top 4 accountancy practice who has a great eye for detail along with good accuracy. The ideal candidate will have sound business knowledge with strong communication skills. Construction, development, or investment experience is desirable.

Duties will include:

• Preparing monthly and annual reports, budgets, commentaries and financial statements
• Leading on internal and external audit processes
• Working in a dynamic environment
• Managing finance team members
• Developing and managing financial systems/policies
• IFRS Experience
• Controlling and forecasting income and expenditure
• Acting as a business partner to all departments in the business, analysing data and trends and supporting the business to meet budget targets.
• Creating business strategies to generate shareholder value.
• Overseeing head office costs and processes including payroll and expenses
• Ensuring all financial administration is completed effectively and efficiently
• Administration and management of grants
• Ensure all external financial reporting is completed
• Review processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement
