Interim FP&A Manager
The challenge here is as good as it will get – they have no FP&A capability at the moment and they want you to come in and help begin to shape it. It’s a stand-alone post, as such you have to be prepared to get your hands dirty and own everything. You’re joining the company at a major crossroads – driven by a finance transformation program that’s investing both headcount and capability of a finance function that has previously been under-invested.
You’ll bring your prior FP&A experience and start to build out all their performance reporting, planning, and forecasting analytics. Strong Excel skills are a given, as is knowledge of implementing ERP-based systems, as well as BI systems.
Doing some token FP&A as part of a wider finance role may not make the cut, there must be a demonstrable track record in working in roles with a heavy/sole focus on FP&A, in environments going through lots of change.
As a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CA) and highly accomplished FP&A specialist you’ll be used to walking into environments with all manner of challenges. You'll be a professional finance interim with a heavy Commercial Finance, FP&A bias to your skills, or even someone in between jobs as this FP&A Manager role could go permanent.
